“WOW… do not touch it!!!”
“Why?”
“Because I say so..”
“It’s just a Graphic Tablet..”
“But it’s precious to me..”
“Oh… it’s more important than me?!”
“To tell the truth YES… now leave it alone… and SHOOO!!!”
Yes, I got my first Graphic tablet, #Huion Kamvas Pro 16 (4K) last year. And I have been falling in love with it. No wonder I am possessive about this gadget so much. After many years of comparing and thinking a lot, this suited my budget and my work area. Compared to #Wacom, this was affordable with all the accessories.
I was thinking of getting a 24 inch or bigger, but realized with my petite body size and work space won’t match such a big size. So, I went with the 16 inch. The perfect size, yes I have a habit of needing a bigger space when I draw. And I don’t have to bend over or move my hand a lot to draw. Felt almost like drawing on paper.
The first few times I had to go with trial and error, as there was a little learning curve. Even with the settings on the pen, I optioned to use brush properties and erase. Watching several YouTube videos, specially Brad Colbow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RmGV5wALG0) helped me to get a better grasp of how to use the graphic tablet and start on digital drawing.
After getting used to I felt I have found a new freedom to draw as I feel. With using the mouse I had issues when I wanted to do free hand
drawings or wavy lines, which I mostly used the pen tool to achieve what I want. But with the graphic tablet I can quickly draw with ease, and get the work done quickly.
What I love mostly is the pressure sensitivity of the pen. This was a new experience for me, as I couldn’t do this with the mouse. I was able to give depth and different widths to the lines I drew. So my flat drawing started to get some life.
When it comes to all this, I have to say I am possessive of the #Huion tablet. Yes I am so happy I at last got a graphic tablet and this is the best gift I got for me myself. This has helped me to improve my work flow and I have started to see new designs emerging.
A tip: If you are a designer and if you can afford, or save money, invest on a graphic tablet. This doesn’t have to be over the top or so
expensive. This will help you to draw quickly and ease your work flow, plus the possibilities are endless.
“HI… YOU!!!…. DON”T TOUCH MY HUION GRAPHIC TABLET!!!!!”
