AI!? Will it take away my creativity?

“I heard there is a fuss about AI taking over jobs,”
“Hmm, yes heard it, but why are you worried?”
“Aren’t you?”
“Why?” I asked.
“You might lose your design work,”
“How come?”
“Because AI can create whatever you create,” he said in a triumphed tone.
I just smiled and he looked at me with such a face, that I started to wonder.

AI?

An intelligent group of codes that can search, sort, and gather data into one set of text or images artificially (without human interference), can it take away my creativity?

I don’t think so. As a person, I have a mind to think and create a final output based on my thinking, which is something that AI cannot do. Even if I give it a screen print of my thoughts, nope the outcome will be something extremely different.

While trying out AI for my artistic project (not commercial, but for fun) I realized most of the images I had created looked similar to others I had seen. Even the short-word content had the same effect. The more I tried to make an original, I ended up with a similar result.

WHY?

Because none of the images, nor the content I created, was missing the “my feel, my touch” in them, nor the satisfaction I get from creating or writing something. It felt artificial, like it was created by a robot. The major drawback was I missed out on creating it, which is a pleasurable time for me, something I enjoy. Similar to waiting to see a flower blooming.

So do I use AI at all?

Well, sometimes I use AI to gather some ideas, especially crazy ideas I developed in my mind to see if it’s feasible or not to create.
And I use AI at times, with 3D, Blender software to enhance my rendering and create little Python codes to use with Blender.

Mostly I use AI for research or to learn about a specific topic. Because it helps me to spend less time reading a lot of information.
AI summarizes the necessary details I need, letting me have more time to spend on my creative projects.

Plus AI helps with my brainstorming process by finding plot holes and helping me correct them in the best way.
So my creative process is much quicker and I have more time to play around with whatever I do.

Final thoughts:
Hmmm….. This is what I think..

There will be a time when “value for human creativity is more valued, rather than the AI-generated ones,”.
Where original individual artistic attempts and efforts are more recognized and appreciated. In a nutshell, I don’t think AI
will take away my creativity. But helps me spend less time correcting my concepts and improving my ideas, so I have more time
to spend on creating the world I imagine in my mind and bringing them to like and share it with you all.
